Was a pleasure to spend half an hour talking to Rob Testa, SKY
Announcer, Race Caller and avid GAP Supporter about Team Bundy,
The GAP Syndicate and his 2 GAP Dogs.
LADY CHARISMA
RACES FOR TEAM BUNDY
Monday night, 24th March, Lady Charisma raced at Shepparton
and came a very strong second which meant a cheque for $500
is on the way for 10 shares!
Connections pledged $1000 worth of shares if Lady Charisma won,
or $500 if 2nd-8th. Just another way the Greyhound Industry
is getting behind Team Bundy's GAP Syndicate.
TEAM BUNDY VISITS GAP VICTORIA
Team Bundy whilst in Victoria late in Feburary 2008, took an
invite to visit the home of Greyhound Adoption in Victoria in
Seymour.
The Program is in the middle of rebuilding their headquarters
with more kennels, office and facilities in General and was
a really positive feel about the way that they are advancing
to help these magical animals.
We had a chance to ask questions and learn more ourselves to
just how the program works and how they run things and educate
the dogs there to fit into a normal lifestyle after racing.
We were shown through the kennels and afterwards I had to be
dragged out by my partner before I took a car full of beautiful
happy dogs home with us. Apparently our 2 retiriees at home
are enough!
It was also great to hear the after support they give people
once they have the Greyhounds home and the Christmas Functions,
Walking Clubs and other activities they organise.
It also gave me a chance to explain in full just what exactly
the Team Bundy GAP Syndicate is about and how we plan to raise
funds and awareness about this wonderful program.
We are so glad we had this opportunity to have a look around
and cant wait to go back again soon once everything has been
rebuilt. A huge thanks goes out to the staff for their time.
